Bred by Robert Hunter Mattock, it takes its name from Matthew Arnolds poem wherein are mentioned the "Dreaming Spires of Oxford".

Probably the best yellow climber out there for temperate zones, but possibly not for somewhere like Canada.
It smells great. The size is just right. The rebloom is good. The gold seems to resist heat fairly well. And it has nice foliage.
