    Origin:
    Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, before 1992).
    Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1993 as 'Coral Meidiland'.
    Introduced in Australia by Ross Roses in 1994 as 'Coral Meidiland'.
    Class:
    Floribunda, Shrub.  
    Bloom:
    Scarlet.  None to mild fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Small to medium, single (4-8 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, cupped, rounded, ruffled bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
    Habit:
    Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy.  Small, glossy, medium green, dense foliage.  

    Height: 28" to 35" (70 to 90cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
    Growing:
    USDA zone 6b through 10b.  Can be used for beds and borders, garden or landscape.  Shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

    Arose from the controlled pollination of 'Meinececa' [by 'Lili Marlene']. Bred by Alain Meilland of SNC Meilland et Cie, Antibes, France.

    The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was the product of the cross of the `Korimo` variety (non-patented in the United States) and the `Lenwich` variety (non-patented in the United States). The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) of the new variety was the product of the cross of the `Temple Bells` variety (non-patented in the United States) and the `Moorcap` variety (also known as `Red Cascade`, U.S. Plant Pat. No. 3,962).
