"Jay's Hudson Hybrid Perpetual"
• "Joy Hudson's Repeat"

I think "Joy Hudson" is an error -- Typo for Jay as in Jay Williams.

Jay discovered this rose on Hudson St., Oakland, CA. HE calls it "Hudson Crimson."

Jay Williams is the name of the person that discovered it ? We'll be happy to list him as the discoverer.

Yes. He is. Jay is a quiet guy, but he has been one of our important rose "rescuers."
So, he deserves credit for this 'un. :-)

Hi Jeri,

Do you know the year too ?

It seems to be no longer available from Vintage Gardens. I don't find it on their HP list, and the CRL has no entry for it.

Vintage lists it available as a custom root.

"Hudson Crimson" and "Jay's Hudson Crimson Perpetual" are the same rose, I believe.
Jay Williams just calls it "Hudson Crimson."
So you DO have photos, you just have them under JHCP.

It has been suggested that "Old Town Novato" and "Hudson Crimson" may be the same.

This found rose and "Old Town Novato" appear to be the same cultivar.
