Bush Roses
Marmion (Hybrid Tea)... A delightful combination of colours. The outside of the petals is a rich shade of salmon pink, shading off to amber at the base. Inside the petals are pale rose beautifully flushed with orange. Blooms medium size and of the "Madame Butterfly" type. Vigorous branching growth. Recommended. Very highly perfumed. Introduced 1934.

There is a number of others in 'Annie Brandt' (Mallerin, 1933), 'Charmer' (A. Dickson, 1934), 'Marmion' (Dobbie, 1933), 'San Jose' (Veuve Denoyel 1933) and 'Victor Ferrant' (Ketten 1933) which are quite below standard in this climate.

New Roses 1935. Marmion (HT.  Dobbie & Co. Ltd. 1933)  The outside of the petals is a rich shade of salmon pink, shading off to amber at the base.  Inside, the petals are pale rose beautifully flushed with orange. Blooms medium size and of the 'Madame Butterfly' type. Vigorous, branching growth and typical hybrid tea foliage. 4/- each.
Inferior to 'Madame Butterfly'.
