Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, before 1922).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1922 as 'Wilhelm Kordes'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1924 as 'Wilhelm Kordes'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Red, brown shading, orange-red edges, golden-yellow undertones, ages to golden-yellow .  Strong, apple fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, upright.  Glossy, bronze-green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
