Edith Willkie (1 plant, 2 years; 3 plants, 1 year). The growth and bloom are very like Ophelia except that this is almost chrome yellow with pink shadings especially in autumn. It has great prospects.

p85.  Frank Mason.  The Newer Roses in New Zealand.
Edith Wilkie   Rich pink with a yellow base, one of the best roses of its colour that I know of. The scent is an outstanding feature. It is a good exhibition rose and lasts well in water.

p141. Mr. C. Richardson, Yarraville
From America, comes Edith Wilkie. The two outside layers of petals are of a light biscuit colour, and merge into a flesh pink centre. A good hardy type.

Harry H. Hazlewood.  The New Roses of 1947-48.
Edith Wilkie, HT. (J. H. Hill) ('Joanna Hill' x 'Mrs. Verschuren'). Rich orange blooms of 20 to 25 petals fading to paler shades as the flowers develop. The growth is good with shiny healthy foliage. From an overall point of view there is a suggestion of 'Ophelia' parentage in the background, which is an indication of real quality.
