Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1979).
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1986 as 'Penthouse'.
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) in 1986 as 'West Coast'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Pink.  None to mild fragrance.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, nodding or "weak neck", ruffled, urn-shaped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy.  Large, matte, light green foliage.  

Height: 39" to 4'11" (100 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Rain tolerant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
