Origin:
Bred by Berthe Caron (Mme Mallerin) (France, before 1935).
Introduced in France by Henri Guillot in 1935 as 'Love'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Love'.

Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl..  
Bloom:
Scarlet.  Strong fragrance.  Medium to large, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, climbing.  Medium green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 6½' to 12' (200 to 365cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or pillar.  Vigorous.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Prune dead wood.  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..
