This rose is thornless. I thought my band from Vintage Gardens died of canker about 1 1/2 months after receiving it, but I cut it back and it has re-sprouted from the roots. Tiny leaves even in this dry heat. It looks like there is still some dark cane, so this might not be a good choice in the middle states where blackspot is a problem.
