Lilac, violet mottling. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.

Notes:
Plant explorer and collector, Robert Fortune was born on 16 September 1812 in Kello, Berwickshire, Scotland. He is credited with having discovered over 120 new species of plants. He made 4 trips to China and Japan in the mid-1800s -- the Chinese called him Sing Wah. After retiring to London, where he lived for several years, he returned to Scotland and died in 1880.
