By ARTHUR WILLIAM PAUL The first step in obtaining this variety was the crossing of the Hybrid Perpetual 'Pierre Notting' with the Climbing Tea 'Madame Bérard,' the offspring being crossed with 'Persian Yellow' and the progeny therefrom again fertilised with pollen from a direct cross of 'Madame Bérard' with 'Persian Yellow.'
