Small, single, bright red with white center, in large trusses. The very viforous shrub is strongly armed, has glossy, dark green, healthy foliage, blooms extraordinarily abundant and long lasting in June-July. Of excellent effect as pyramid, festoon, for covering embankments, walls, etc.

Wichuraiana and its Hybrids.
The varieties comprising this class are of unique and charming beauty, and form lovely objects in the garden while in bloom. They are suitable for rockery, sloping banks, pillars, pergolas, arches, &c. They are very lovely grown as standards.
