Bred by Gerrit De Ruiter (Netherlands, before 1927).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1927 as 'Superba'.
Introduced in Netherlands by Sliedrecht & Co. in 1927 as 'Superb'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wm. Cutbush & Son in 1927 as 'Superb'.
Class:
Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson.  Large, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
