....Mr. Gregory's first success at the Trial Ground came in 1958 with a pink hybrid tea named 'Mayflower' which won a Trial Ground Certificate. The next year saw his greatest triumph to date, with the introduction of 'Wendy Cussons' ('Independence' x 'Eden Rose') which came from the same seedpod as 'Mayflower'.
