McGredy's Pride, HT. (McGredy 1936) A large fairly full flower with 40 long narrow petals. This character appears in several of the recent introductions and is a factor to be reckoned with.   In the past, hybridists have aimed at long, broad petals, which build up a more lasting bloom, and any departure from this ideal must cause general regret. It would be interesting to know from what variety this narrow petal descends, as it was not a feature of the genuine hybrid tea before the advent of the Pernetiana.
