The American rose annual - Page 206 (1934) 202. President Briand. HP. (Mallerin, 1929.) A. R. A., 1930; P. P., 1931. Apparently, this rose has made very little headway. Dunning reports that this Hybrid Perpetual resembles the bomb type of peony, but has only a few flowers, and he considers that one Ulrich Brunner is worth a dozen of it. At Breeze Hill the plant resembles Mme. Albert Barbier in its dwarf, stubby habit, and its stiffly held flowers were shapeless balls of a rather brilliant shade of pink.
