Mrs. Charles Frederick Worth Hybrid Rugosa. Description. Charles Frederick Worth, though an Englishman, was the leading Paris couturier of the late nineteenth century... He died in 1898, nine years after the rose was introduced. It is credited to a gentleman named Worth. This may be a coincidence or perhaps Charles Worth, like Caroline Testout a few years later, may have used the rose to promote his own business... double blooms in cool pink. Parentage unknown.
