New Roses 1932. Portadown Sally Pernt. (S. McGredy & Son 1931) F. 2. Reddish carmine flushed and veined yellow running to a yellow base. The outside of the petals are sulphur yellow flushed with carmine. The flowers only carry 20 to 25 petals and are of moderate size. The growth is fairly good while it is faintly tea scented. Garden Varieties. This section represents those free-flowering and decorative types which do not come up to exhibition standard. Portadown Sally (McGredy). An attractive decorative of Pernetiana origin.  The colour is reddish carmine, running to a yellow base. Foliage looks doubtful in a moist climate.

New Roses 1932.  Portadown Sally (HT.  S. McGredy & Son 1931) Reddish crimson carmine flushed and veined yellow, running to a yellow base; outer sides of the petals are sulphur yellow stained and flushed carmine. Flowers, whilst not very full, are of moderate size and good shape; high pointed centre; faint tea scent; vigorous growth; dark green mildew proof foliage. 4/- each.
A most attractive decorative type of 20 to 25 petals.  The colour is more carmine than crimson. If it does not die back it will be very welcome. Pernetiana.
