Bred by Francois Dorieux I (1902-1980) (France, 1962).
Introduced in France by H. Le Blévenec in 1963 as 'Roi Soleil'.

Lemon-yellow. Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed buds.

Glossy, light green foliage.
