Godfrey Winn ('Milas de Fortecruiba') Large-flowered. In 1968, the raiser, Pedro Dot, named this rose 'Milas de Fortecruiba' to honor a Spanish celebrity.. Harry Wheatcroft bought the rights to it and christened it 'Godfrey Winn', after the British radio personality... very fragrant mauve blooms...

Godfrey Winn  An exhibition sized rose from sunny Spain with all that implies, exotic, colourful and vigorous. It comes from my old friend Pedro Dot and I believe it will prove to be the best of the blues. Lilac purple in bud it changes to magnolia purple as the flower opens – it has size, vigour, health and delightful perfume as well as particularly long-lasting qualities when cut.
