Two of the best flowers noticed were James Rae and...,  both of which are known to our keen exhibitors. The former appears to possess more refinement, and is of a less hard colour at home.

New Roses 1931.  James Rea (HT. S. McGredy & Sons 1930)  F. 3. Rich carmine lake but would be popularly described as rose pink. Huge size, perfect form and substance with ideal growth.  The colour blues much too quickly and as pure colour is such an essential in a red rose it cannot be recommended.  2/- each.
