Hi, I'm looking for a rose that looks like the red and white Pinstripe one, but I wanted it as a "full size" rose and not a minature or climber. Is this the best choice for that requirement or is there another rose you can recommend?

I've never planted Peppermint Twist, but if you're looking for a beautiful, fragrant, red and white striped rose, try the Floribunda called "Scentimental." It gets to about 3-4 feet, and is beautiful. Disease resistance is good, as is its hardiness. I recommend this one if you're planning to put the rose in the ground instead of a container. Also, purchase from a reputable company selling own-root, (vs. grafted) virus-indexed roses. There will be no rootstock to freeze or dry out, and the chance of the rose contracting mosaic virus is minimized. Check this website for Heirloom Roses in Oregon.
