Sorry, but here I go again! According to the Harkness catalogue, Harlassie, also called The Brownie Rose, was a new rose for 2005, introduced at the Chelsea Show 2004, and is yellow, not pink ... The Brownie Rose is not in your catalogue ... There's a link here about it: http://harknessonline.co.uk/acatalog/section_charitynovelty.html And here, with it named as Harlassie: http://harknessonline.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fharknessonline%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fsection_charitynovelty%2ehtml&WD=rose%20brownie&PN=The_Brownie_Rose%2ehtml%23a121#a121 Maybe the second link is too long ... :-)

Judith, thank you! This confusion with 'Fairy Maid' seems to have be longstanding. I've added The Brownie Rose, and I'll clear up HARlassie as the breeder code just as soon as I understand what happened to poor Fairy Maid.

Thank you, Cass! :-) By the way, you or I could ask Harkness about Fairy Maid ... they're very helpful.

Judith, that's such a good idea, I'll do it right now. They are a very nice family. I thought I should make at least a little effort to solve the mystery without bothering them.
