The late Frank Hogan, who grew roses in the tropics (Mackay) was experimenting with Carabella as a thornless understock, especially for tall or weeping standards. Has anyone tried this? It would be nice if someone would pick up the baton.

This rose can get much bigger than stated, and will climb trees.

Thank you Eric. Please also encourage them to update their HMF listings themselves. It's free and we've made the process very quick and easy.

Thanks, Patricia. I suggested this. But they don't think there are any sales in it ! Superb roses often with budwood supplied by the owner's brother, John Nieuwesteeg.
