Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1987).
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) in 1994 as 'Heart of Gold'.

Grandiflora.  

Deep yellow.  Moderate fragrance.  34 to 36 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Small to medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Medium, glossy foliage.  

Height: 4¼' to 5'7" (130 to 170cm).  

USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
