Origin:
Bred by Mathias Leenders (1883 - 1958) (Netherlands, 1911).
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1913 as 'General-Superior Arnold Janssen'.

Bloom:
Rose-pink to carmine-red, darker veining, darker reverse.  Long atems.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed buds.  
Habit:
Compact, dense.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Notes:
