Mrs. John R. Allen (Hybrid Tea, Hugh Dickson).—Medium growth. The blossoms are rather flat and dark pink in colour, with lighter pink on outside petals. None too free a bloomer, and not yet recommended here as a garden Rose until it is established mildew-proof.

MRS JOHN R. ALLAN (HughDickson 1920). — Fleur rose eglantine brillant clair, grande, pleine, de forme parfaite, à centre élevé. Les pétales épais sont délicatement recourbés. Arbuste vigoureux et robuste à beau feuillage glauque verdâtre. C'est une excellente fleur à tous points de vue, aussi bien pour le massif que pour exposition.

Mrs. John K. Allan, H.T. (Hugh Dickson.) An enormous bloom, fully up to exhibition standard. The petals are shell-shaped, and the color a pale salmon-pink. It is one of those loose-petaled roses after the type of Colleen. The plant exhibited was of vigorous growth and free from mildew. In commerce.

Two gold medals were awarded. One went to Mrs. John K. Allan, a H.T., from Messrs. Hugh Dickson's, of Belfast, with pink petals with deeper rose colouring on their exteriors; and the other to Mr. Samuel McGredy's Princess Victoria, a bright orange-vermilion H.T. of much charm.
