American Pillar Rambler. Van Fleet (USA) 1902. (Rosa wichuraiana x R. setigera) x unnamed red Hybrid Perpetual... The carmine-pink blooms have a white eye and golden stamens... frequently borne in clusters... The foliage is leathery, glossy, and subject to mildew. It blooms on old wood later than other ramblers and hates hot, dry weather but will tolerate partial shade...
