1940 American Rose Annual p167. Wilhelm Kordes. As Germany Sees the New Roses. One of the finest of the German varieties is Narcisse, by the late Max Krause, which has a bold, high-centered bloom of a lovely soft sulphur-yellow on a plant which grows rigidly upright and carries its blooms on stiff stalks. It is a good double, and stands a lot of rain and sunshine; so I call it a first-rate Hybrid Tea.
