Climbing Cathrine Kordes, despite slight mildew, grows very strongly and produces great quantities of large Spring blooms with a few throughout the remainder of the warm months. These flowers, however, nearly all fade badly before opening in Melbourne in the Spring. The few that open well are magnificent show blooms. The later flowers open better and fade less but are much smaller. Cathrine Kordes appears to prefer warmer climates such as that of Perth.
