Book (2004) p28. Joan and Ken Turner. Favourite Exhibitng Roses. Miniature Type Roses - Decorative. Another white is a favourite here. 'Fresh Cream' is a tall bush with abundant decorative shaped flowers which can also be a very nice fully open bloom after it has passed the decorative stage.
p116 Peter Bamber. Review of the Newer Roses For the 2003-2004 Season. Miniatures/Patios. 'Fresh Cream' (BELlfre) Bell 1996: Garden rating 7.2, Exhibition rating 7.7: 32 bushes, 16 reports. Some health problems: Light fragrance: Tall: Creamy white flowers. Canterbury says this is overlarge for a mini but form is good and the colour attractive. It is best at back of the rose bed. Waikato - lots of cream blooms; on the large side when fully open. Can make a nice dec but has a bare neck. Rust can bother it. Canterbury - needs a few more petals even for a decorative otherwise the form is fleeting. Marlborough - lovely colour but poor bloom production; slow to repeat but good dec form. Spider mites love this one. Another from Canterbury - very few petals; good decorative but the foliage lets it down. B.O.P - when established becomes a vigorous free flowering pale lemon semi-single fading to cream. Lasts well on the bush and when picked, a good dec; some blackspot.

The colour is like the "English" form roses and healthy. Golden Bay says large leaves and flowers but lax growth. Flowers fade and the bush took some downy mildew. Napier found the blooms to be good decorative and fully open, has good substance, clean & healthy. Northland felt the huge plants were well named and had nice decorative blooms. Paeroa says a good little doer and a great decorative. Bay of Plenty's bush gave semi singles that last and last. Slow to repeat though. Plant is healthy. Hutt Valley says the plant is healthy and blooms made good decoratives. Gisborne says the blooms are good in the bud form but flatten out later and there are not too many petals. North Otago finds their new rose nice but the blooms blow in the heat. Bay of Plenty likes the decorative form and their bush produces lots of blooms. The blooms open quickly but the repeat is good. Sounds a good addition to our decorative Minis.

Napier says good petal texture, flowers good to full open, grows well from cuttings. Northland says it is a lovely cream decorative, opens fast, healthy, looks good 3 in a vase. North Harbour reports very healthy, nice decorative but can get goose necked, like this one very much. Sounds promising as there are very few good decorative mins.
