Medium red Hybrid China.Registration name: Malton
Found Rose, Hybrid China, Rambler.
Red. [Red, silver(y) reverse.] Prickly receptacle and pedicel. Mild, sweet fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, very double, in small clusters, cupped, scalloped bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Armed with thorns / prickles, bristly , climbing. Large, reddish-purple foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height of 4' to 10' (120 to 305 cm). Width of 3' to 4' (90 to 120 cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Similar to 'Gloire de Guérin', which, however, repeats.
Malton was the brother-in-law of Guérin.

Blooms: look similar to 'Gruss an Teplitz', but have a silvery reverse and are smaller,.
Hips: oval yellow-orange.
Foliage: Good autumn leaf colour.
Habit: Climbing and cascading.
