Origin:
Bred by Hans Jürgen Evers (1940-2007) (Germany, before 1996).
Introduced in Germany by Rosen-Tantau/Tantau Roses in 1997 as 'Papillon'.
Class:
Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow.  Mild fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

[Accotrding to the US Patent for this rose, Hans-Jurgen Evers (Germany) is the breeder. This rose has a distinctive yellow-orange bud. The primary objective was to produce a new rose variety having the deep yellow flower color and large flowers size of the unnamed parent, combined with the very good cut flower production and long stems of the TANilyks parent.]
