'Victoria' rose References
Book (1951) Page(s) 15. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1951. Victoria, (Robinson, 1948). Large fully double fragrant lemon yellow blooms shaded gold at the base. ('Golden Dawn' x 'Phyllis Gold'). This variety provides an interesting point for Registration Committees. Originally named 'E. S. Boerner', it was changed apparently at the request of the individual concerned. At this stage it is not known in which form the name was originally and validly published and suggests that consent should first be obtained from the person it is desired to honour. This is part of the American schedule which could with advantage be incorporated in the inevitable uniform regulations of the near future.
