Book (1940) p122. Mr. S. J. Bisdee. Tasmanian Rose Notes Victoria Harrington. I think this will be a very nice red Rose. I would not call it a dark red on its performance here. In the absence of a colour-chart, it appeared to me more of a deep cherry-red. It held its colour very well. The bud is ovoid and the growth good.

Book (1938) Page(s) 13. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1938. Victoria Harrington HT. (Capt. Thomas, 1931), cannot strictly be termed a new Rose, but through some unexplained set of circumstances has only been available true to name in the last year or two. It is an excellent grower with long stems, producing semi-double to double blooms of dark red colour which last well. When better known it will be much sought after.

Thomas 1931) An extra vigorous growing dark red variety which through some error or oversight has only just come into prominence in the U.S.A., where it was raised. The blooms are produced on extra long stems and the colour is well kept until the flowers fade. 5/- each. A very vigorous grower with attractive dark red double flowers.
Book (1936) Page(s) 99. R. Marion Hatton. A Good Year in America. While not new, Victoria Harrington, produced by the late Capt. George C. Thomas, jun., is just being catalogued, and it looks good. A cactus type of flower. When open the colour was deep velvety red, which showed no blue. There were about 35 petals, and it has rich old fragrance.
