President Eisenhower HT. (Jos. Hill, 1953). Bright rose red double very fragrant blooms which keep their colour well. This is a seedling from 'Captivator' x 'Red Delicious', varieties which have been grown exclusively under glass in U.S.A. for the enormous cut flower trade. Why they have not appeared in outside gardens like other sorts is difficult to understand as there is no apparent reason why they should not be equally successful out-of-doors. It should prove a good garden rose here.

President Eisenhower HT. (J. Hill, 1953) is a bright rose-red variety with medium sized flowers, many of which are malformed, while all of them are too flat by modern standards. They are not unlike those of 'Richmond' (E. G. Hill, 1905). It has a bushy habit of growth.
