The Rose Courtney Page was selected as being the best Rose at Portadown the year it was chosen to bear the honoured name of the Secretary of the Rose Society. Next year and in all following seasons it proved to be a weakling and was termed, in English parlance, "a dud." Why did it have this one glorious hour of life?

THE ROSARY By Dog Rose.
Courtenay Page has produced one or two flowers, but the blooms were very poor in quality. We have mentioned previously that we think this rose was overrated when issued, and when so many other excellent red roses are available it would be well for nurserymen to discard this variety, which does not appear to be of any particular value.
