Origin:
Bred by Elisha J. Hicks (United Kingdom, 1924).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Rising Sun'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Copper, golden-yellow undertones.  Opens like a cactus dahlia. Loose.  up to 30 petals.  Large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Bronze-green foliage.  

Height: up to 32" (up to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
