Under the listing for 'Cecil' there is the following reference:
Australian Rose Annual Book (1928) Page(s) 39. Harry H. Hazlewood. Real Rose Progress. In decoratives, ‘Cecil’ (B. R. Cant) and ‘Norman Lambert (McGredy) there are two single varieties of novel colouring which can fairly come within the range of improvements.
It is not in the 'Norman Lambert' references but is clearly wrong about the rose being single if all the other descriptions are right.

Yes, clearly wrong. In Hazlewood’s 1927 catalogue he says ‘Norman Lambert’ has 24 petals and ‘Cecil’ 5 petals. Perhaps in this 1928 very first edition of the Australian Rose Annual, they were still fine-tuning the proof-reading.
