'Golden Cochet' rose Reviews & Comments

I found this interesting description for Helen Good online in a 1917 American florists' catalogue. "HELEN GOOD (The Beauty Cochet) — What the introducers say: "This is a true Cochet Rose, and after two years' trial in the garden we pronounce it as good if not better than any Rose for the garden ever sent out. We bought the entire stock of this Rose, paying $1,000 for two plants, this being by far the highest re- corded price ever paid for any Rose. The color is a delicate yellow, suffused with pink, each petal edged deeper, very chaste and beautiful. The color, with its immense size and exquisite form, makes it without question the greatest Tea Rose ever introduced, and we are proud to have brought it out."
