Introduced in Germany by Nicola Welter in 1909 as 'Kaiser Wilhelm II'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1911 as 'Kaiser Wilhelm II'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red.  Strong, centifolia fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  Dense foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Frederick Wilhelm Viktor Albert of Hohenzollern, Kaiser Wilhelm II, was born in Berlin 27 January 1859. He died 4 June 1941 and his body is buried in three coffins in a mausoleum on the grounds of a castle in The Netherlands called Huis Doorn.
