Origin:
Bred by Robert Türke (Germany, 1908).
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1909 as 'Friedrichsruh'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, dark purple shading.  Blood red, dark maroon red with blackish purple shading. Black-red. Darkens with age. Bloom droops.somewhat, cushion-shaped, flat form.  Strong fragrance.  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, compact.  

Height: 18" (45cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Hardy.

Notes:
Outspreading branches, some nearly horizontal stems.
