The listed patent states: "Origin Controlled pollination: ‘(Gold Bunny x Unnamed seedling)’ x ‘Gold Medal’ in 1992. Breeder: Eric Welsh, Erina, NSW. Selection criteria: vigorous growth, quick repeating of flowering, strong gold colour flowers slow to fade. Propagation: vegetatively through many generations."

So that should clarify things?

This is a new one for me.
So far it is a vibrant canary yellow.
Yielding well so far.
