Origin:

Bred by Jean Laffay (France, 1839).
Introduced in Australia by Exotic Nursery (Australia) in 1851 as 'Madame Laffay'.

Class:

Damask Perpetual, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Rose-pink, crimson shading, light purple shading. Strong, sweet fragrance. Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), cupped-to-flat, expanded bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Upright.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer.

Parentage:
