Hybrid Perpetual Roses.
Ben Cant (B. R. Cant & Sons, 1902), very large flower of the Victor Hugo type, with beautifully rounded bold outer petals and well-formed high centre. Colour deep clear crimson with slightly darker flushes in the centre, and dark veining throughout. Very sweetly scented. Remarkably strong and sturdy in growth and a most abundant bloomer both summer and autumn; buds should be well thinned. Awarded the Gold Medal of the National Rose Society...very vigourous.

Ben Cant flowers deep clear crimson, with dark veining, and slightly darker flushes in the centre; large and finely formed, with stout rounded outer petals of good lasting power; growth strong and sturdy.
