This rose pines away and is full of Blackspot.
I cannot spray it with sulphur, for then the leaves wilt, curl up and get papery.

You're welcome;
I also benefit from the shared experience of other members, so this way I can repay HMF and inform others.
But this is my experience on my soil and in my climate/garden.
Maybe it thrives at other locations.
I wouldn't call this rose very disease resistant, for it also lost canes from canker. And I definitely wouldn't give it any medal (except for the colour).

Susceptible for Blackspot!
This winter I'll cut back the infected/affected cane under groundlevel (see previous comment) and hope that there will grow some new healthy canes. If not......it will be pruneshoveled.
Most of the flowers appear at the top of this years new growth, no flowers under 1.40 m!
A bit disappointing, for me, this rose, comparing to the words of praise when introduced.

This year the biggest cane turned brown for 25 cm just above groundlevel. No new canes! Only new shoots from the affected cane.
But it still flowers a bit, but it doesn't look healthy. Even Blackspot got a grip on its leaves this year.

I would say the colour of this rose at my place is tending from red to deep pink.
Maybe it's because the PH of my soil soil is above 7. Maybe in more acidic soils it wil be less pink.
