No date. Description. An excellent Gallica. It makes a splendid bush and is of pure Gallica derivation judging by the foliage, bud, shape of flowers and absence of large prickles. The blossoms are a brilliant light crimson -- as bright a tone of red as was attainable before the advent of crimson derived from the Cina rose -- quartered... often with a marked button eye.
