Hybrid Perpetual Roses.
Oakmont A sweet Rose of unusual modesty, with large blooms. The color is peach-pink, the hues exquisitely fixed in the petals. The Oakmont Rose has been in existence for several years, and is grown to considerable extent by many of the most discriminating Rose-growers. The palnt is hardy, vigorous and productive.

James Comley, gardener to the late F. B. Hayes, Esq., raised some good sorts [of chrysanthemums], including one called F. B. Hayes, for which he received a medal at the New York show in 1895. He also brought a fine collection from Japan, some of which have been introduced into commerce. Another claim he has on horticulture in the production of his fine rose Oakmont.
