Pros: Always blooming, quite red, and of moderate size for a ground cover. It is an appropriate size.

Cons: It black spots in my area (Oregon), and the blooms age in a non-aesthetic way.

I'm puzzled that there are no comments for such an outstanding rose. Yes, its commonly for sale in mass quantities at Lowe's or Home Depot, but I have over 100 roses and I'd rank it up in the top 10 for reliable performance. Yes, it has not fragrance to speak of, but it performs well even in horrible drought and sends up amazing stems having on average 20-50 blooms on them. In my Richmond Virginia garden, it gets larger than most sources say it will get. Left unpruned it gets about 3 1/2 feet tall by 6 feet wide. It gets so wide because the weight of the huge flower custers bend the canes outward. It might also be so robust because I have an organic garden and use fish emulsion on the roses with liberal abandon in the spring and early summer. It does get a little black spot, but it is never to the point of concern or intervention and its garden companions sweet william, golden leafed feverfew, and bronze fennel easily divert the eye from any blemishes the leaves might have. This rose is an outstanding performer and if you need something bright red for landscaping, I would not hesitate to use it. Its leaf drop from black spot stays about under 10-20 percent which is good in our steamy summers here. Roses that really succumb to black spot in my garden defoliated 100% and when I try new roses and they turn out to be so disease prone, I send them away in the Thurday trash pick up!

I agree with you. This is an excellent little rose.
