Two strong growers are Major Shelley and Prince Felix de Luxembourg. Both are fragrant and shapely flowers. Prince Felix is one of the freeest and most continuous flowerers we have in the crimson Roses and makes an admirable bedding Rose, except that it is rather tall for a small bed...and I have not noticed either of them liable to disease.

La plus belle rose nouvelle que j’aie vue cette année est « Prince Félix de Luxembourg », de Ketten Brothers, du Grand Duché de Luxembourg. C’est une fleur magnifique d'un rouge brillant qui ne passe pas, et lorsque les fleurs ouvertes sont délicieusement détachées ou lâches en apparence, les fleurs mi-ouvertes sont une réelle perfection de la rose. De forts plants soutiennent ces bannières rouges bien hautes : le Prince est un cavalier orgueilleux. ....

New Roses 1932.  Prince Felix de Luxembourg (HT. Ketten Bros. 1930) Bud large, velvety carmine red; flower large, full, double, very lasting, sweet fragrance, deep carmine red, which does not blue; very vigorous growth; dark green disease resisting foliage; profuse bloomer; 30-35 petals. 4/- each.
Colour seems a good red. Looks promising.
